ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ is an independent school established in 2009, situated in Epping and serving the needs of the growing Islamic community in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. Starting with about 80 students in 2009, the College has experienced significant growth since its inception with a current enrolment of almost 1,300 students. Our aim is to use learning as the pathway to develop students of refined character.

We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

PRIMARY & SECONDARY TEACHERS 2024

We are seeking innovative and energetic Primary and Secondary teachers to teach our students in the Primary/Secondary School and enhance our already rich learning environment.

LANDSCAPING AND GROUNDS PERSON

We are seeking a dedicated Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance Person to join our team and help maintain our beautiful campus. The Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance Person at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ is responsible for ensuring the campus grounds are maintained to the highest standard, providing a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role involves performing a variety of gardening and grounds maintenance tasks, operating and maintaining equipment, and adhering to health and safety regulations.

Required Skills and Experience:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform landscape and general maintenance tasks to keep the campus grounds neat and attractive.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery and ensure they are properly maintained and in good working order.
  • Manage and prioritise tasks effectively, including handling competing demands.
  • Adhere to occupational health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all.
  • Adapt to changes in tasks throughout the day, manage priorities effectively, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proactively ensure the quality and safety of grounds maintenance activities.
  • Identify and address maintenance issues proactively, researching solutions and implementing them efficiently.
  • Undertake various maintenance tasks as directed by the Team Leader

MAINTENANCE AND GROUNDS PERSON

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance and Grounds Person to join our team and contribute to the upkeep of our facilities and grounds. The Maintenance and Grounds person will play a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and functionality of our College campus. This role requires a blend of technical skills, reliability, and a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, adapt to various tasks, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work with heavy loads and under pressure.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in tasks and work environments.
  • Capability to make simple plans and understand instructions.
  • Experience in grounds keeping or a similar role is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and tackle challenging tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and school grounds.
  • Assist with the movement of furniture and setup for assemblies and school events.
  • Manage and prioritise tasks effectively, including handling competing demands.
  • Complete work to a high standard with attention to detail while strictly adhering to OHS procedures at all times
  • Interact professionally with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader College community.
  • Undertake various maintenance tasks as directed by the Team Leader.
