With the opening of our school asphalt basketball court soon approaching, it was fitting that Al Siraat participated in the Islamic Schools Basketball Competition.
This month, a team of Year 8/9 Senior boys and girls battled out against Islamic school students from AIA, Minaret, Al Taqwa, Ilim and AIA Sydney. Team Managers Mr Bektash and Miss Layal were proud of the fantastic effort produced by all students, as well as the excellent sportsmanship. Both teams returned home with one victory, however the highlight of the day was the outstanding spirit displayed by all the participating schools. This, coupled with the healthy competition, made the day one to remember.
