School Dental Program – Junior School Visit Term 4

Phase 2: Prevent, Rehabilitate and Protect!

The Phase 2 visit is usually held 3 – 8 weeks after the first visit. We had the school dental team visiting our Year 3 and Year 4 students last week and were able to prevent problems arising from the student’s teeth, by applying Fissure Sealants to some of their molars. If the student did have any decayed teeth, they are able to rehabilitate them, by restoring them. Once this is complete, the teeth will be protected from future problems by instilling in the student, knowledge on how to take care of their teeth!

The Well-Being Department, Junior School teachers and the school dental team completed an appointment schedule for students to be seen at specified times on Monday, 28th November. Parents of the students were also advised to attend these appointments.

A big congratulation to all our students who completed 2 phases and our parents for encouraging their children to stay healthy.
