The College has an enthusiastic Parents and Friend’s Forum (PFF), being made up of Parents, Teachers and any other person who accepts the aims of the Association.
The Association aims to:
Encourage active parent interests at all levels of the College.
Undertake activities which promote this aim, including social activities.
Support the staff, where appropriate in the implementation of the College program.
Raise funds for the development or improvement of the equipment or premises of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½.
We invite you to come to school to volunteer your time and talent. Your dedication and commitment to the students as a supportive aide, role model and mentor would be much appreciated.
As a parent volunteer you may be involved in
Reading in class (Foundation to Year 2)
Maintaining Resources (contacting books, data entry, printing etc.)
Excursions
Sausage Sizzle / Pizza Day
Working Bees
Fundraising
And so much more!
Some things to consider as a parent volunteer
Please understand that younger siblings cannot attend with you. It is too distracting for both the students and yourself
You may not work directly with your own child
Absolute confidentiality is of the highest importance
It is flexible, come once or twice a week or once a fortnight. Simply organise times with the teacher
Volunteer sessions will begin in Term 2
You must have a Working with Children Check (WWCC)
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 9408 1999.
An information session will be held on Thursday, 25 February at 2.30pm – 3.30pm to let interested parents know all about PFF and their exciting role in the classroom.
Please reply by emailing to pff@alsiraat.vic.edu.au or by filling up the form and return it to your child’s homegroup teacher by latest Tuesday, 23 February if you would like to join us.
We look forward to your support in this program.
