We are thrilled to announce that our very own Daniel Saleh, Head of the PE Department, has been awarded the prestigious "AFL Victoria’s Teacher of the Year 2024 Award"! This incredible achievement is a testament to Mr Saleh’s unwavering dedication, passion for sport, and tireless efforts in engaging more students with ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Rules Football here at the College.
Mr Saleh’s commitment to nurturing a love for the game and fostering inclusive sporting opportunities has had a profound impact on both students and staff. His positive influence extends far beyond the sports field, as he instils important values such as teamwork, resilience, and living a healthy lifestyle. These values not only reflect the goals of physical education but also embody key Islamic principles, such as the pursuit of excellence (ihsan), unity (tawhid), and gratitude (shukr) for the blessings of health, brotherhood and community.
By fostering an inclusive sporting environment, Mr Saleh ensures that all students, regardless of their ability, feel welcome and supported. His work within our school has enriched the PE program, promoting both physical well-being and a spirit of cooperation.
AFL Victoria expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the dedication and positive influence Daniel Saleh brings to Al Siraat and the wider community. His achievements exemplify what it means to be a role model both in sports and in character, and we couldn’t be prouder of this well-deserved recognition.
Please join us in congratulating Mr Saleh on this remarkable accomplishment, as we pray for his continued success. May Allah continue to bless him in his efforts to inspire and guide our students through both sport and faith, inShaAllah.
