On November 25th and 26th, our Student Support Department (SSD) proudly hosted the Year 7 Orientation, a two-day event designed to welcome next year's cohort of Secondary students. The program was filled with engaging activities, allowing students to explore secondary school life and become familiar with what lies ahead.
Throughout the two days, the soon-to-be Year 7 students participated in various sessions to get a taste of the Secondary school experience. They sampled a range of subjects, including Mathematics, English, and Food Technology, sparking their curiosity and giving them a preview of the exciting lessons they'll enjoy in 2025.
Beyond the academics, students had ample opportunities to bond with their future classmates and teachers. Icebreaker activities encouraged them to make new friends and build a sense of belonging within the school community. A highlight of the orientation was the sausage sizzle lunch on Monday. The aroma of sizzling sausages brought smiles to everyone’s faces as students relaxed, chatted, and enjoyed a delicious meal together. It was a wonderful way to foster a sense of unity and excitement for the year ahead.
Before heading home, each student received a special goodie bag containing a Year 7 Handbook. This helpful guide offers valuable information for students and their families, ensuring a smooth transition into secondary school life. The handbook is a fantastic resource for parents, offering insight into the expectations and opportunities at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½.
Overall, the Year 7 Orientation was a great success, filled with fun, learning, and friendship. ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ looks forward to welcoming our new students again in 2025!
