Year 4 Visit to Werribee Zoo

5 June 2024

Recently, our Year 4 students embarked on an exciting educational trip to the Werribee Zoo to learn about the animals in the African savannah, where they engaged in hands-on activities and discovered the fascinating features of African predators and their prey.

This immersive program allowed students to delve into the complex dynamics of survival in the grasslands of Africa, learning about the incredible adaptations that enable predators to hunt successfully and the features prey have developed to evade capture.

During the program, students participated in a variety of interactive activities designed to enhance their understanding of the African ecosystem and the intricate relationships between its inhabitants. They had the opportunity to analyse animal skulls, which provided valuable insights into the physical adaptations that different species possess for survival.
