The Student Representative Council (SRC); in partnership with Speaking Schools Australasia, recently organised a dynamic Public Speaking Workshop for Year 11 Community Services students and Year 12 Student Leaders.
This highly interactive workshop focused on building confidence and nurturing resilience, equipping students with essential soft skills to help them navigate an ever-changing world. Through a series of engaging activities, students enhanced their critical thinking, communication, and teamwork abilities, all while fostering empathy and resilience.
The workshop was an incredible opportunity for students to step out of their comfort zones, develop their public speaking skills, and gain confidence in their ability to express themselves effectively. Participants worked in small groups, engaging in hands-on exercises designed to refine their speaking techniques and boost their confidence when addressing an audience.
