Our Sporting Schools participants were acknowledged for their outstanding participation and involvement in soccer and basketball programs this semester. Soccer was indisputably the most popular, with high attendance every week. So much so, that more soccer programs were delivered during lunch time sessions for the Junior School girls.
Students from Years 1 to 6 were in attendance to help celebrate two fantastic terms of sport. The recipients were given a gold trophy with their names clearly placed alongside the accolade.
Senior students were acknowledged for their great efforts, skills, comradeship and team spirit during the various sporting events throughout the year, mainly the "One Ummah" Soccer and Basketball Academy in which both our Senior boys and girls participated with great success.
Dedicated coaches Daniel Saleh and Layal Tannous were also both acknowledged for their outstanding efforts and enthusiasm for the entire program:
Daniel delivered two whole terms of coaching both Monday and Wednesdays. His sessions incorporated fundamental skill development for lower primary participants, and more specialized skills for upper primary. All participants flourished in confidence and skill in his sessions.
Layal delivered Basketball and Soccer for the girls during lunch time sessions. Layal produced quality and professional coaching sessions, which incorporated skill development, game play and fun.
