The Al Siraat Hifz Competition was held on the 4th day of Ramadan on last week’s Friday, 15 March 2024.
Mr Mubashir welcomed our esteemed guests, parents of participants, all Hifz & teachers & all Hifz & Ilm students, followed by a beautiful Quran recitation from Sheikh Ishaq and the welcome speech by College Prinicipal Mr Fazeel.
Our respected judges were Sheikh Ishaq and Sheikh Shameseddin while the two testers were Sheikh Nizam for boys and Ms Hafsa for girls. The competition commenced with the first category of Juz 30 in which we had 3 participants, followed by category of 5 Ajza and the last category of 10 Ajza.

Category of Juz 30

Category of 5 Ajza`
- 1) Sarah Binte Bani Raizan Mohamed
- 2) Yusuf Mustafa
- 3) Sulayman Ahmed.
Category of 10 Ajza`
- 1) Abdul-Fattah Youssef
- 2) Iraj Mohammed
- 3) Fatiha Rubab.
In each category there were 3 participants who were asked to recite 2 portions of the Quran. MashaAllah, they all recited exceptionally well!
The event continued with a nasheed by our Hifz students, and recitation of 4 students who came up on the stage and recited a page from the Quran. The competition concluded with the prize distribution, a Thank You speech by Ms Rahat, du'a by the Hifz students and a motivational talk and du'a by Sheikh Waseem.
Iftar & dinner was served for all afterwards. Alhumdullilah!
