Our College Principals Mr Houghton and Ms Rahat as well as PE teacher Mr Saleh represented Al Siraat at the annual AFL Ramadan dinner, inviting members of the Muslim community to break their fast at the MCG.
They were joined by many others, including Leading Senior Constable and Multicultural Liaison Officer for our region, Mr Albert Fatileh from Victoria Police.
Now in its fourth year, the AFL Iftar is designed to promote cross-cultural understanding between the Muslim and the wider community, using footie as common ground. It was a well organised and well received dinner event, with the MCG beautifully illuminated with "Ramadan Kareem" messages.
